Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the Yellow Belt aimed at?+
All employees: it is the ideal level to spread a culture of continuous improvement.
Are there any prerequisites?+
No prerequisites. It is the entry point of the Lean Six Sigma pathway.
What is the Yellow Belt Lean Six Sigma certification?+
The Yellow Belt is the first level of the Lean Six Sigma pathway. It raises your employees' awareness of the fundamentals of continuous improvement: the concept of value, the elimination of waste (Mudas), and structured problem-solving using the DMAIC method. At the end of the training, the participant knows how to contribute effectively to an improvement project and takes the Yellow Belt IASSC certification, which is internationally recognised.
How does the Yellow Belt training actually take place?+
The training spans 3 structured and progressive days. Day 1 covers the Lean and Six Sigma fundamentals (value and waste/Mudas). Day 2 addresses the DMAIC approach, its 5 phases, and its basic tools. Day 3 is dedicated to practical cases and the IASSC certification exam. A comprehensive course support is provided to each participant.
How long does the Yellow Belt training last?+
The training lasts 3 days, or 21 hours. This short and intensive format allows you to widely raise awareness among your teams without significantly disrupting operations, while covering all the DMAIC fundamentals and the IASSC certification exam.
Is the IASSC certification internationally recognised?+
Yes. The IASSC (International Association for Six Sigma Certification) is an independent body whose certifications are globally recognised. TargetUp is affiliated with IASSC and prepares your employees for the exam based on the official framework, ensuring recognition of the certification well beyond Morocco.
What concrete results does the Yellow Belt bring to my organisation?+
A Yellow Belt employee can identify waste, articulate a problem in a structured manner, and actively participate in projects led by Green and Black Belts. Widely disseminated, this culture accelerates daily problem-solving, reduces defects, and lays the groundwork for high-impact optimisation projects.
How does the Yellow Belt relate to the Green Belt and Black Belt?+
The Yellow Belt is the entry point of the Lean Six Sigma pathway. It establishes the common language and reflexes essential before progressing to the Green Belt (DMAIC project management) and then the Black Belt (complex projects and improvement management). Training your teams extensively in Yellow Belt creates the foundation that makes Green and Black Belt projects significantly more effective.
What differentiates TargetUp's Yellow Belt training?+
TargetUp is a triple-certified firm ISO 9001, ISO 21001 (management of training organisations), and ISO 37301, ensuring a pedagogical framework governed by demanding quality and compliance standards. Our trainers are practitioners of continuous improvement in Morocco and Francophone Africa, who anchor each concept in concrete cases. You benefit from results-oriented support, with contractual commitments.
