Your situation

When internal audit is prepared in a rush

The programme planned at the start of the year only resurfaces as the surveillance audit approaches. Audits are carried out by colleagues who sometimes examine their own work. Findings sit idle in spreadsheets, corrective actions remain open, and no one can see the year at a glance.

  • Your certification body has raised a nonconformity concerning your internal audit.
  • The person who conducted your internal audits has left the company.
  • The findings from the last audit are still open, and the management review is approaching.

Depending on your sector, the urgency takes a different form

Clinics

Hygiene protocols, equipment, patient and supply flows: simple checklists and findings followed through to the end.

Hotels and catering

Hygiene and food safety audited throughout the season, not the day before a visit.

Education and training

An audit programme aligned with the institution's year, not with urgency.

Industry and agri-food

Your major customers' requirements audited internally, with supporting evidence, before their own audits.

The service

We run your internal audit cycle, from programme to annual summary

A managed service: our team does the work, your management decides. Every deliverable is dated and verifiable.

01

The annual programme

Your processes rated according to their risks, the order of the year's audits, the standard chosen. Your management approves it.

02

Preparing each assignment

You receive an audit plan before the assignment: scope, people to be interviewed, documents to have ready.

03

The audit, remotely then on site

Our team reviews your documents, then a qualified auditor conducts interviews and observations on site, followed by the closing meeting.

04

The assignment report

Findings graded from observation to major nonconformity, each one linked to its evidence. A second person reviews the report.

05

Follow-up through to closure

Your action plan validated, deadlines chased up, closure evidence checked. The next assignment checks how effective the actions have been.

06

The annual summary

A regular closure status report, then the year's overview, ready for your management review.

The person who runs your system does not audit it

The auditor has not written your documents and has not run your system. You are given their name before the assignment. If our team also runs your quality or QHSE system, the audit is assigned to an auditor from outside that team.

What the service does not do

  • The certification audit: it remains the responsibility of your certification body, and we make no prediction about its outcome.
  • Financial audit.
  • The corrective actions themselves: your teams carry them out. We measure the closure rate; we do not promise it.
The platform

What you see in TargetUp Control

TargetUp Control is included in the service. Our team operates it on an instance dedicated to your organisation. It is a steering tool: it does not attest to any conformity.

On screen, you follow your audit year as our team keeps it:

The year on track

Every audit linked to the annual programme, which two people approve.

A well-defined assignment

On site, remote or mixed, with its standard, its team and its dates.

Every requirement assessed

One result per checklist line, and the weighted score that follows from it.

Tamper-proof evidence

Sealed with a digital fingerprint, re-checked, validated by a second person.

Findings tracked

Each one graded, each one with its deadline.

Through to closure

Causes, actions, then effectiveness checked by another person.

The rules the platform enforces

  • The annual programme is validated by two people.
  • An audit only moves to ‘completed’ once every requirement has a result.
  • An audit cannot be closed while a finding remains open.
  • The report cannot be printed if any evidence has been altered.

Your evidence, uploaded by our team

You send your evidence to our team, which uploads it to the platform, citing its source. The status of the programme, findings and actions is provided to you at the intervals set out in the contract.

Getting started

Your first weeks with our team

The schedule is built around two dates you give us at the first meeting: your next external audit and your management review.

01

The no-obligation diagnostic

A conversation about your standard, your sites and your deadlines. You know where you stand and what the service can take on.

02

The written proposal

Scope, assignments and deliverables. We check the independence of the intended auditor before proposing them to you.

03

The launch

Kick-off meeting, list of documents to send us, and set-up of your TargetUp Control instance.

04

The audit universe and the programme

Your processes rated according to their risks; the year's programme drafted, then reviewed by a second person.

05

Approval by your management

Programme approved, auditor appointed, date of the first assignment fixed.

06

The first assignment

Audit plan sent in advance, remote review, on-site audit, closing meeting, then the report.

Then: the action plan and its follow-up, a second assignment that also checks the effectiveness of the first actions, then the year's summary.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

What is outsourced internal audit?+
It means entrusting an external team with running your internal audit cycle: the year's programme, the preparation and conduct of assignments, the reports and the follow-up of corrective actions. Your management approves the programme and decides on the next steps; our team does the work and reports back to you.
Does outsourced internal audit replace the certification audit?+
No. Internal audit is a requirement of your management system; the certification audit is conducted by an accredited third-party body. We handle the former, we never take part in the latter and we make no prediction about its outcome. Our reports are internal steering documents.
Who conducts the audits, and how is the auditor's independence ensured?+
A qualified auditor, appointed for each assignment under a written assignment order. They have neither written your documents nor run your system, and you are given their name before the assignment. Their report is reviewed by a second person before it is handed to you.
Who carries out the corrective actions?+
Your teams. We grade the findings, validate your action plan, chase up deadlines and check the closure evidence; the next assignment checks how effective the actions have been. The closure rate is reported to you in each status report: it depends on your teams, and we do not promise it.
Do you offer internal audit software?+
Not on its own. TargetUp Control is included in the service and operated by our team: the programme, checklists, evidence, findings and corrective actions are kept in it, and you can see their status. It is a steering tool: it does not attest to any conformity.
Which standards do you work with?+
The standard of your management system, in the edition used for your certificate or your initiative. Its requirements are loaded into the platform and then checked against the published text before the first audit. The scope (standards, sites, assignments) is set out in the written proposal that follows the diagnostic.
