Frequently asked questions

What are the prerequisites?+
Experience in project management and a degree; PMI sets the eligibility criteria for the exam.
Is the exam included?+
Preparation is included; the official exam is taken with PMI.
Who is the PMP® training aimed at?+
The PMP® certification is aimed at project managers, PMOs, engineers, managers, and consultants who are already managing projects and wish to have their expertise recognised by a global standard. It is also suitable for evolving profiles — team leaders, product owners, technical executives — who aim for a structured project management role. At TargetUp University, the cohort brings together professionals from Morocco and Francophone Africa across all sectors: IT, construction, industry, banking, telecommunications, and consulting.
What career opportunities and positions does the PMP® certification target?+
The PMP® opens access to roles such as Project Manager, PMO, Program Manager, Project Director, Product Owner, or Project Management Consultant. It is one of the most sought-after certifications by recruiters and consulting firms, as it demonstrates mastery of predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches recognised internationally. It significantly enhances your employability and mobility, particularly towards large accounts, IT service companies, and multi-project organisations in Morocco, Africa, and internationally.
Is the PMP® certification recognised internationally?+
Yes. The PMP® is awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI, USA), the reference authority in project management, and it is recognised in over 200 countries. You prepare for it at TargetUp University, an accredited higher education institution by MQA UK, whose programmes can be aligned with a Bac+5 level degree. This dual dimension — international PMI certification and accredited academic framework — securely enhances the value of your profile with employers.
What is the format and pace of the PMP® preparation?+
The preparation takes place in LIVE classes on Saturdays, led by certified PMP® trainers, and is complemented by an e-learning platform with replays for you to revise at your own pace. The total hours cover the 35 hours of project management training required by PMI to sit the exam. TargetUp University offers several sessions per year — up to four intakes — so you can choose the start date that best fits your professional schedule.
Can the PMP® preparation be followed remotely from Africa?+
Yes. The live Saturday classes and e-learning access are designed to be followed remotely, wherever you are in Morocco or Francophone Africa (Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gabon, etc.). You participate in live sessions, interact with the trainer and your cohort, and then deepen your understanding through replays and online resources. No travel is necessary: the same educational standards apply whether in-person or remote.
What does the programme contain and which modules are covered?+
The programme follows the PMP® Exam Content Outline from PMI and the PMBOK® Guide, structured around the three assessed domains: People, Process, and Business Environment. You will work on predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches, as well as stakeholder, scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality management. Real-life projects anchor each module through practical scenarios and case studies.
How does the assessment and exam preparation work?+
Throughout the training, you will practice with quizzes, mock exams, and simulations replicating the actual PMP® exam format (180 questions combining predictive, agile, and hybrid scenarios). These progressive assessments measure your level, target your weaknesses, and develop your time management skills. The goal is to approach the PMI exam methodically and confidently, in conditions close to the actual exam day.
Why choose TargetUp University to prepare for the PMP®?+
TargetUp University combines an accredited MQA UK higher education framework, certified PMP® trainers, and a recognised certification ecosystem (PMP, PECB, IASSC, IRCA). You benefit from live sessions on Saturdays, replays, support in preparing your PMI application, and a strong presence in Morocco and Francophone Africa. Beyond the exam, you join a professional development pathway that sustainably enhances your career as a project manager.
